Game Overview:
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a 2D sidescrolling platforming game developed and published by Nintendo.
It’s the first traditional mainline 2D Super Mario game since New Super Mario Bros. U, and features a new art style and gameplay mechanics.
The 2D sidescrolling platformer is set to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch in a few weeks' time, on October 20.
Following on from a recent dedicated Direct presentation, Nintendo has also showcased new gameplay for the platformer in a Treehouse stream.
“I wanted to prevent people from saying, ‘We won’t make that deadline, so that’s why we didn’t do it - we can’t do it,’” says producer Takashi Tezuka.
Retailing for $349.99, the limited edition Switch includes red Joy-Coins and a Dock with a Mario silhouette and coins inside the back.
The 2D platformer offers many new features, like creating player rooms, co-op races, placing Standees to revive others and more.
Players traverse the Flower Kingdom to stop Bowser, who gains new powers and causes havoc, in the upcoming co-op platformer.
Nintendo will be revealing new gameplay details on the 2D sidescrolling platformer in a new 15-minute presentation.
The iconic voice of Nintendo's mascot is stepping back from the role and becoming an ambassador to share "the joy of Mario."
The sidescrolling 2D platformer is set to launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch later this year, in October.
Mario returns in a new 2D side-scrolling adventure, hunting for Wonder Seeds alongside Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, and many more.
Nintendo will allegedly also announce a remake of a classic SNES title at its rumoured upcoming Direct presentation.
A leak claims that the game will feature a new art style and will not be part of the New Super Mario Bros. line of games.
